Erinnert ihr euch noch an meinen Trip Ende November nach Miami? Hier habe ich nun wie versprochen meine Review des 1 Hotel South Beach in welchem ich genächtigt hatte... Das Hotel befindet sich in einer top Lage (direkt am Beach gelegen und Nahe des berühmten "Ocean Drive") und bietet alles was man zum ausspannen und relaxen braucht, z.B. Yoga Sessions, Jet Ski Verleih, Stand Up Paddling, Spa & Gym uvm... Was mir am 1 Hotel aber mitunter am besten gefallen hat sind die vielen Pools (4 an der Zahl!) - Mein Favorit war übrigens der Pool auf der Dachterrasse, dieser hat einen wunderbaren Ausblick, coolen Sound und ist zudem nur für "adults only"! Im Restaurant auf dem Rooftop, dem WATR, kann man super lecker essen und Abends einen hammer Sonnenuntergang und die chillige Stimmung genießen... Die Küche des WATR ist polynesisch und japanisch angehaucht und wirklich extremst lecker! Die anderen Restaurants des Hotels sind natürlich ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen, meine Lieblinge waren hier u.a. das Beachcraft (mit einer offenen Küche) und das STK, ein sehr stylisches Steakhouse mit einer vorzüglichen Auswahl und tollem Service! Was am 1 Hotel ebenfalls noch hervor zu heben ist sind natürlich die Zimmer und Suiten, allesamt modern gehalten und von der Natur inspiriert (so werden z.B. umweltfreundliche Materialien und Produkte verwendet) Barry Sternlicht, der CEO von 1 Hotels wollte quasi die Schönheit der Natur mit einem Hotel vereinen, und so sieht man wirklich sehr viele natürliche Elemente im 1 Hotel South Beach, zahlreiche Grünpflanzen und natürlich auch ganz viele organische Lebensmittel etc. (Cool fand ich z.B. auch den Farmstand in der Lobby auf welchem Artikel von lokalen Farmern angeboten werden...) Kurz zurück zu den Zimmern & Suiten: Es gibt eine wirklich sehr große Auswahl verschiedener Kategorien, ich wohnte in der Ocean Front two Bedroom Suite, welche über einen atemberaubenden Blick über den Main Pool und den Beach verfüg und in der ich mich wirklich sehr wohlgefühlt habe... :) Wie ihr seht ist das 1 Hotel eine tolle Unterkunft für Miami, natürlich möchte ich euch aber auch gerne ein paar weitere Tips für Miami / South Beach geben... Do you guys remember when I travelled to Miami end of November? As I promised you here comes my hotel review about the 1 Hotel South Beach. The hotel is located perfect (right on the beach and near the famous "Ocean Drive") and offers everything you need for laid-back holidays, like Yoga Lessons, Jet Ski rental, Stand Up Paddling, Spa & Gym aso... But what I also liked a lot was the fact that the hotel has 4 pools! (As i really love pools;) My favorite one was definitely the one on the rooftop which has a stunning view above the city and the beach, cool Dj sound and is for adults only. There is also a restaurant on the rooftop, called WATR, which is inspired by polynesian and japanese cuisine. It's really delicious and a perfect spot for a relaxed sunset... The other restaurants of the hotel also serve very tasty food of course and are highly recommendable. My favorites were the Beachcraft (with an open kitchen) and the STK which is a stylish steakhouse with a really good service and food. There is one other fact which I really liked about the 1 Hotel South Beach as well: The suites and rooms are all designed very modern and inspired by nature - which is actually the concept of the hotel. CEO Barry Sternlicht says: "I wanted to capture the beauty of nature in a hotel and in doing so, commit to safeguarding it as best I can, a responsibility that I believe we all share. It's 1 world." So you actually see lots of natural elements and plants in the hotel and also a lot of organic food (There is for example a Farmstand in the Lobby where local farmers offer fresh foods and unique products daily...) Talking again about the rooms & suites: They really offer many different categories to choose from, I was staying in the Ocean Front Two Bedroom Suite for example, which has a breathtaking view above the pool and the beach and where I really felt very comfortable during my whole stay. :) As you can see the 1 Hotel South Beach is a great option for any upcoming Miami trip, but of course I also wanna give you some hints what to do as well in Miami / South Beach... Here we go:
